Top Of The Pops

Well, not quite, but we were just told by our glorious radio people that we have charted on the FMBQ charts for alternative radio across this great nation. Ocean was the 13th most added single, and the EP was ranked 15 out of the top 25 albums added. I don’t think this will change the fact that I eat ramen noodles at least once a day, but I’m told it’s a great thing and by gum, I believe it is. In other news, we have a new roommate at our house. Celebrity drum tech and music management mastermind Keith Schubert has decided to bunk up with us for the next couple weeks and I must admit that we are elated to have him. Also big thanks to Desiree for the most excellent taco party this evening. Good work everyone.

NYC = The place to be

Thanks to everyone who came out to Galapagos last night. We had a great time playing with our friends, The Hazzards. Galapagos had a big reflecting pool in it. It was dark and I couldn’t tell how deep it was so I stuck my hand in as far as I could when no one was looking. That shit was deep. I couldn’t touch. Then I thought that some sort of evil aquatic creature may very well be lurking under the surface and that if I wanted to continue to keep the use of my limb, I should promptly remove it from said water. Later on, I asked Julio, the soundman, how deep it was. He was pretty sure you could get to anywhere in the 5 boroughs through the tunnels leading out of the bottom of that pool. I thanked him for his honesty. Anyway, the show was fun. We played as a 3 piece since Emeen recently ran out on us. I kid, I kid. Emeen has left us for the west coast and we wish him the best of luck. He is an amazing musician and songwriter as well as a fine, fine person. Check out his songs by clicking on his name. Ted was also in fine form, regardless of the fact he had picked up a cold. The alcohol instilled a sense of false health that thankfully lasted the majority of the evening. Good work, buddy. To Anthony’s surprise, the drumset he was using didn’t have any toms or crash cymbals. Never one to back down from a challenge, he broke the high hat stand during the set, as he had decided it gave him too much tonal flexibility in its functioning state. Hat’s off! All in all, a banner evening. Special thanks to Mr. Steve Theo for his unwavering support.
